What collectors are chasing#
Three Mew cards numbered R, B and G (listed in the price data as Commons) are $4,678.50, $4,152.80 and $3,550.78: together 95% of the set value. Is 30th Celebration worth completing?#
Every card has a price, so the cost to complete equals the set value: $12,974.90. Leave out the three Mews and the other 158 cards cost $592.82, with 117 of the 161 cards under $1. Verdict: the 158 are an ordinary completion; the three Mews are a separate purchase at thousands of dollars each. Launch prices were a poor guide here too: the cards priced in its first week were worth 48% of their first-week value by day 28. The weekly total rises only because the Mews joined it.
